Work realized in School Boulle in 2010, supervised by Pierre Boirat. It’s the reinterpretation of a Louis XV table, drawn by Léon Boudin in 1770.

This table is nearly finished but there is still several adaptations to make to come to the end of the secret drawer, which was so contested by Boulle administration. I have to fabricate and put in place the spring-loaded mechanism.

Then, I’ll have to make the rosewood looking older with carbonate in order to lose this pink tint, so the contrast between rosewood and indian palisander would be more harmonious. To finish, I’ll apply a filled and waxed finishing, like it was made in 18th century.
